Are you a skilled and experienced Secondary Teaching Assistant with Team Teach training? Do you thrive in challenging environments, using your expertise to de-escalate situations and inspire students to achieve their best? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
Aspire People are working with a secondary school in Manchester is seeking a dedicated Team Teach Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis. This role involves supporting students with behavioural challenges, helping them grow academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
* Behaviour Management: Use Team Teach strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour effectively, ensuring a calm and safe learning environment.
* Academic Support: Assist students in accessing the curriculum, with a focus on core subjects (Maths, English, and Science) at Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Mentorship and Inspiration: Build positive relationships with students, inspiring them to engage with their learning and improve their academic outcomes.
* Resilience and Flexibility: Handle situations with professionalism, maintaining a supportive and empathetic approach.
* Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to provide targeted support for students.
* Progress Monitoring: Assist in tracking and reporting on student progress, contributing to their personal and academic development.
What Aspire People are Looking for
* Team Teach Training: Current or recent certification in Team Teach techniques is essential.
* Experience in Education: Proven experience working in secondary schools or other educational settings is required.
* Behaviour Management Expertise: Ability to handle challenging behaviour with confidence and professionalism.
* Curriculum Knowledge: A solid understanding of the secondary school curriculum and the ability to support students academically.
* Resilience and Empathy: A positive, adaptable, and empathetic approach to working with students facing challenges.
* DBS on Update Service: A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the update service is mandatory.
