What do you love most about working in education?
“Working in Education Recruitment is fast paced, challenging and sometimes very demanding – however can also be really fun, inspiring and rewarding – especially when you have matched the right teacher with the right school, meaning very happy faces all round! I have worked in recruitment for all of my career and across many different sectors – but Education has to be by far my favourite, and being the Daughter of an Assistant Head Teacher – I guess I was always destined for the Education route. I get to work with a wide range of people each day and love building long last relationships with my teachers and my schools. No day is ever the same, and not just because of your typical recruitment roles of interviewing and out visiting clients – one day I can be hosting a careers fair at a local University, one day I can be running CV writing workshops in one of my schools and another day I can be working as a volunteer in one of my schools umpiring a netball match! The Education industry is changing all time, bringing new challenges each year to school recruitment – however working with a strong team of specialists and having excellent, honest and trusting relationships with schools and teachers, means we all work together fantastically to find the right solution for all. Not many people can say they love their job. It may just be why I have stayed in the industry for the last seven years!”
