Job Title: KS1 1-1 Support AssistantLocation: Bedworth
Employment Type: Full-time
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners? Aspire People, a leading education recruitment agency, is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide 1-1 support for a Key Stage 1 (KS1) child.
Role Overview:
As a KS1 1-1 Support Assistant, you will work closely with a specific child to provide tailored support and assistance, enabling them to fully access the curriculum and reach their academic and personal potential. You will collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies and interventions that address the individual needs of the child and promote their learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1-1 support and assistance to a KS1 child, both inside and outside the classroom environment.
Adapt learning materials and activities to meet the specific needs and abilities of the child.
Support the child in developing their social, emotional, and communication skills.
Foster a positive and nurturing relationship with the child, promoting their self-esteem and confidence.
Monitor and record the child's progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and SENCO as required.
Collaborate with other members of the school staff and external professionals involved in the child's support network.
Requirements:
Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one.
Previous experience working with children, ideally within an educational setting.
Knowledge and understanding of the KS1 curriculum and child development.
Empathy, patience, and resilience when working with children with additional needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
